Thanks to Tammy, of The Joy of Hamsters Hamstery in Ohio, Jenna now has 6 new hamsters. We now have a new chocolate male, an opal male, a pair of black eyed whites, and a Satin male paired with an albino Satin carrier female – they had a litter of 8 just 2 days after arriving! Plus we just weaned Michelle’s, Doe’s, and Sasha’s litters. Colors include blacks, blacks with collars, blues, opals, and fawns. Very nice mix of colors. We are excited to be getting the wide range of colors. We are going to pair the chocolate male with our black eyed lilac for some more chocolates. If you are looking for interesting colors drop us a note. We can get you set up!

I am pleased to report that Michelle has had another litter! Michelle is our favorite both for color and disposition. Her current litter has been weaned and will be available for sale in a week or so. Also due to be weaned is a nice litter or litters from Harlie Girl and Carmel – Argente and Argente motts.

We have paired a “widow” and “widower”. Both lost previous mates. They got along immediately and seemed happy to have a friend again. I was happy they got along so well – you never know with older hamsters.

We will also be introducing Sasha and Benjamin. Carmel or Harlie girl will soon be paired with Auburn Pudge.  And Hamtaro will be put back with Dafodil as soon as her current single is weaned. We are still looking for a chocolate male for Pearl to see if we have black eyed Argente or Moscow genes.

If you need nice hamsters e-mail Jenna now. These will go fast!

Jenna has a couple pairs of hamsters together and will be putting a pair or two a week together to make sure we can keep up with demand for her hamsters. If you are wanting hamsters let us know as soon as possible. You might have to wait a bit but the wait will be worth it. We only sell hamsters of the best temperment!

Jenna’s broken Jersey Wooly doe will be visiting one of Reilly’s bucks today. She is a real nice doe – does well enough showing but has that bit of extra size that will make her a good brood doe as well. I really like this doe and hope she gives us some nice babies.

Panda, our Harlie brood doe, is now about 2 weeks into prenancy. Julie, our Velveteen, was bred at the same time. I didn’t think to look ahead on the calender but I will be in Michigan that week. Kerry and Jenna have promised to call me as soon as either doe has babies. Maybe it’s best if I am gone – otherwise the poor does would be peeked on every 10 minutes!

We have been busy playing with the weanlings. All the current weanlings are sold although we do have 2 litters not yet weaned. Jenna checked them last night and found one litter had 3 mottled Argente females. We were so happy! We hope to get some pairs introduced today for future litters. I have been brushing up on the genetics to try to predict which pairing will give us the most color. Of course anything can happen – Michelle’s last litter was all boys!
