We have a nice selection of agouti colors and satins right now. Sold some today as pets and a trio to a new breeder. We are testing stock for diabetes. We want to be among the breeders dedicated to reducing this disease in Campbells. As always we guarantee our hamsters to be friendly and healthy. Even our weanlings being handled for the first time are not biting. Nice to know when you stick your hand in a pile of sleepy hammys that you won’t need a band aid! Dwarfs have gotten a bad reputation for biting but we have selected heavily for temperment and it is paying off. Early hand taming is important too and ours get plenty of attention.
Sorry to gush but we do love them!

Thanks to Tammy, of The Joy of Hamsters Hamstery in Ohio, Jenna now has 6 new hamsters. We now have a new chocolate male, an opal male, a pair of black eyed whites, and a Satin male paired with an albino Satin carrier female - they had a litter of 8 just 2 days after arriving! Plus we just weaned Michelle’s, Doe’s, and Sasha’s litters. Colors include blacks, blacks with collars, blues, opals, and fawns. Very nice mix of colors. We are excited to be getting the wide range of colors. We are going to pair the chocolate male with our black eyed lilac for some more chocolates. If you are looking for interesting colors drop us a note. We can get you set up!

Michelle has another new litter! This time we hit the black with collars jackpot - there are three. Another nicely patterned blue mott too! Plus a solid or two. Doe and Spencer have a litter as well. They will be Agouti and Argente.
All of these will have great dispositions. As soon as they know you are in the hamster room they all come out to beg for treats and to be petted. Michelle tries to climb the glass looking for meal worms and Doe and Spencer are at risk of falling out the door of their cage to be petted.
The pet store we work with took 6 weanlings last week. We have had people over to the house the last couple weekends to buy hamsters as well. It’s so much fun to meet other people who like hamsters and are looking for good ones.

I am pleased to report that Michelle has had another litter! Michelle is our favorite both for color and disposition. Her current litter has been weaned and will be available for sale in a week or so. Also due to be weaned is a nice litter or litters from Harlie Girl and Carmel - Argente and Argente motts.
We have paired a “widow” and “widower”. Both lost previous mates. They got along immediately and seemed happy to have a friend again. I was happy they got along so well - you never know with older hamsters.
We will also be introducing Sasha and Benjamin. Carmel or Harlie girl will soon be paired with Auburn Pudge. And Hamtaro will be put back with Dafodil as soon as her current single is weaned. We are still looking for a chocolate male for Pearl to see if we have black eyed Argente or Moscow genes.
If you need nice hamsters e-mail Jenna now. These will go fast!

We did not have any live Jersey babies. We are down to three nice healthy Velveteens and one really bad looking orphan. I almost put it out of it’s misery last night but thought I would see if it was alive this morning and it was ready for breakfast so is still hanging in there. Don’t know what else to do with it. So for 4 does bred we had one not take, two with dead babies, and one with half the litter surviving. Bad round of luck.
Hamsters are doing well. We have some nice colors to wean soon. We need to put more pairs together also - I have to get Jenna to decide what she is going to pair up next.

It has been a long time since I have had time to write anything. Panda lost her whole litter. Julie started with 6 and is down to 3 in the box and 2 in the kitchen on a heating pad. The more you want babies out of a doe the harder it seems to get them. We are waiting on Jersey babies right now.
The hamsters are having nice litters. Michelle has 2 solid blacks, a blue, and a mott blue. We have some other litters that should have mott Argente’s - too early to see anything yet.
We have Christmas hamsters that will be going to new homes this week. Lucky kids! It is so hard to shop for kids and get them something worthwhile - I am glad to see some parents have figured out a pet is a good thing. Even for those busy people in town hamsters are a good choice - they are so easy to take care of .

Panda is a bit grouchy these days. I figure that means she is pregnant. We should have 4 or 5 litters in December. Won’t we be busy! Two litters are due while I am out of town. Hope the girls call me as soon as they are born. I am anxiously awaiting the birth of our first litter of Velveteen Lops. That is one of the does due while I am gone!

Jenna has a couple pairs of hamsters together and will be putting a pair or two a week together to make sure we can keep up with demand for her hamsters. If you are wanting hamsters let us know as soon as possible. You might have to wait a bit but the wait will be worth it. We only sell hamsters of the best temperment!
